2020-21 was indeed an unusual year.

Lockdown schooling changed the education landscape dramatically and quickly, with classrooms shifting to homes and technology playing a huge role in the way knowledge was transacted. As teachers, students and their parents struggle to cope with this shift, Environment Education receded further into the background. To strengthen Environment Education and maintain continuity in learning, GSP offered a wide array of online initiatives to engage with the school community. One such initiative was the GSP Waste Transformers. Around 800 schools submitted their action plans for efficient Waste Management, of which, 126 schools were selected to become members of the GSP Forum of Schools that Segregate.

GSP Forum of Schools that Segregate is an initiative to make schools zero-waste. The ratings provided below are an indicator of the schools’ plans to improve the solid waste management scenario and may vary from the regular GSP Audit.
